  • Electrical Engineering Draftsman, KLH Engineering, (3 quarters):
    • Used AutoCAD to design the electrical lighting and power layouts of big box retail projects such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, T.J. Maxx, and several large shopping malls including Kenwood Mall
    • Used custom Microsoft Excel templates to create electrical panelboard schedules
    • Assisted in the creation of several custom AutoCAD script commands used to improve drafting efficiency and reduce drafting errors

  • Lab Technician, Harris Corp. Broadcasting and Comm. Division, (1 quarter):
    • Contributed to the design and testing effort of a 100,000 watt AM radio transmitter
    • Helped design a control circuit that notified the CPU of the transmitter the operation status of three AC fans used to cool the rectifier assembly in the power supply cabinet
    • Tested the functionality of several of the transmitter power supply and control circuit boards

  • Electrical Engineering Co-op, L3 Comm./Cincinnati Electronics, (2 quarters):
    • Worked on a team with three other engineers to design a complete target tracking system and implemented it in hardware by means of an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array)
    • Designed several simulation test benches to verify proper operation of the key algorithms used in the target tracking system
    • Used Matlab to design a synthetic infrared imagery generation tool for use in the evaluation of the Scene Based Non-uniformity Correction algorithm
