  • Electrical Engineer Co-op, Siemens SE&A (4 quarters):
    • Designed and developed three configurable universal terminal boxes reducing design time by 90%.
    • Standardized the design of greater than 20% of all terminal box designs.
    • Patent pending for universal terminal box designs.
    • Programmed a configuration tool in Cincom's Knowledge Builder language to automatically generate bills of materials for terminal boxes.
    • Performed duties equivalent to a full time electrical engineer in product development.
    • Designed the stator and coils of Above NEMA induction motors worth $10.2 million.
    • Established a mentoring system and worked with human resources to develop a performance-based review system for the cooperative education program in the engineering department.
    • Programmed tools within the engineering and accounting departments, resulting in significant organizational and time savings as well as a reduction in the creation of duplicate parts.

  • Electrical Engineer Co-op, Riverfront Choice Tickets (2 quarters):
    • Managed and maintained an SQL database. Worked with an interactive C++ program that actively purchased tickets from the internet, logged and communicated purchases with the database.
    • Developed an automated data mining and mapping project using C++ and Microsoft Streets and Trips.
