GSGA travel award - Application Checklist

Applying for a GSGA student travel award? The following checklist is intended to help you submit a successful travel award application:
You answer should be "YES" for the following questions:
- Are you applying for the correct award?
- Did you read the eligibility criteria from the GSA website?
- Do you satisfy the eligibility criteria? Especially,
- Are you a full time UC student?
- Are you registered for at least 1 credit hour in all three quarters?
- Are you applying for an amount less than or equal to you available limit?
- You maximum limit is $400 for every year and that is the maximum funding you can receive in "ONE year".
- If the application process requires you to so something BEFORE the travel (as in the CTA - Full Award and the RA award), did you follow those instructions?
- Are you applying for reimbursement of valid items?
- Among other things, GSGA travel awards does not reimburse: Food/meals, Airport parking and Travel visa fees or rental car insurance.
Other helpful instructions:
- Make sure you have read the FAQs. It has a list of frequently asked questions regarding the application process as well as the common mistakes made by students while applying.
- Ensure that the CS GSA office bearer has verified your forms and receipts before signing your form.
- The UC Travel Expense Report (TER - A113) Envelope that is needed for submitting the application is available outside the GSGA office (at 683 Steger Student Life Center building - above Starbucks).
- The final forms must be submitted to the GSGA office (at 683 Steger Student Life Center building - above Starbucks).
