SUN Technologies Seminars - Winter Quarter '08

Yue Chao, a graduate student in our department., is working part-time in Sun Microsystems and is the Sun Campus Ambassador at UC. He will be presenting a series of 5 seminars on Sun's products and their latest features. This seminars are open to all graduate and under-graduates students of CS and ECE Departments.
- Seminar 1: NetBeans 6.0
The first seminar was on Wednesday (2/20/2008) at 5:30PM in the ERC 427, on the latest version of NetBeans (6.0) - Sun's IDE for Java. About 20+ students showed up for the event. Pizza and snacks were provided at the end of the event. The slides from the seminar can be accessed here.
- Seminar 2: Webservices in NetBeans 6.0
The second seminar was on Thursday (3/06/2008) at 4:30PM in Swift 800, on using webservices with NetBeans (6.0). About 25+ students showed up for the event. Pizza and snacks were provided at the end of the event. The slides from the seminar can be accessed here.
- Seminar 3: Open Solaris
The third seminar was held on Thursday (4/03/2008) at 4:30PM in Baldwin 749, on using Open Solaris. About 25+ students showed up for the event. Pizza and snacks were provided at the end of the event.The slides from the seminar can be accessed here.

The next seminar was held on Thursday (4/17/2008) at 4:30PM in Baldwin 749, on using Sun Studio. Pizza and refreshments were provided. The slides from the seminar can be accessed here.
