01.02.10 –  Eta Kappa Nu is a recipient of the Outstanding Chapter Award for 2008-2009. NDL student Matt Hagedon is the President.

12.10.09 –  One of the Winton Wood Community Robotics teams coached by NDL student Murali Kilaru earned one of five top spots at the 2009 FLL (First Lego League). Murali won the Coach of the Year.

- NSF awards collaborative multidimensional separations project between  NDL (PI), Univ. Tennesse, and Oak Ridge National Lab.

12.12.06 - NDL awarded $400k by the National Science Foundation CAREER Program for "Electrowetting Microprisms - from Agile Fresnel Optics to Wide-Angle Phased Arrays".

12.12.06 - NDL's first graduate, M. Dhindsa, is awarded a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
